MEET

Welcome to Brampton Acupuncture.com

What can you expect when you become a member of my practice? You can expect to be treated with the utmost care and individualized attention which we all need and value.

Unique Treatment Style

I have a unique style of practice which I have adopted into my practice over the past couple of years after working with thousands of people.  I combine the techniques of Acupuncture, Traditional Cupping and Tui’na massage into each of my treatments when necessary.

Experience teaches

After being in practice for years,  I have seen a specific area that more times then less gets quickly over looked and swept under the carpet.  It almost seems like there is a cookie cutter mold we should all fit into,  to maintain the status quo.

Focal Point for promoting total health

I am referring to the emotional/mental aspect of health.  No one wants to appear to have any emotional issues because as a society we are quick to slap a label on them.  I think there is a stigma that if you share your emotions and feelings you will be seen as weak, so you just keep them in under lock and key until you can no longer take it. Then all of a sudden one day your body runs out of ways of compensating and the signs of dis-ease appear.  Example pain , fatigue and insomnia.  We are in need of a change.

Providing the environment for relaxing.Brampton Acupuncture meet

I have found that by providing each person with a outlet and a comfortable environment people are able to release a great deal of this emotional pent up tension.  When you are able to have a emotional and physical release of tension the body is more inclined to re-establish balance.  I am in no way a psychotherapist I just let people talk and listen, which is another area that people need.

Brampton Acupuncture meetMis-managed emotions lead to dysfunction

I have seen the mis-management of emotional stress and discontentment manifest themselves physically in the musculoskeletal system.  This view of the emotional and physical body being one is more in line with the ancient Taoist acupuncture practices where the bodies health is a delicate balance of physical and mental energies.  When we are able to help realign those energies the body starts to function easier.

One on one personalized care

I work with each individual to help create a greater overall balance.  Most of the people that are attracted to my style of practice are people that are experiencing symptoms of fibromyalgia, concerns related to depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia, headaches, pain and overwhelm.

EducationBrampton Acupuncture

I received my formal training from a TCM College in Toronto followed by and advanced internship at the colleges affiliated University teaching hospital in Jinan China. I am a certified acupuncture physiatrics practitioner. I successfully took part in the first ever open acupuncture examination in Ontario in 1999, OAEC. This was one of the first major steps the acupuncture community took to help show the government of Ontario that we are serious about regulating the practice of acupuncture in Ontario. The final verdict is still out. I remain in good standing order with the CSCMA Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, The Acupuncture herb and association of Canada and the World Federation of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
